Find a local Registered Professional
The Member Directory of Registered Professionals accessible from this web page is protected by database right, pursuant to the Database Regulations 1997.

You may search the Member Directory for your personal and non commercial use only.

Systematic copying of all or a substantial part or parts of the Member Directory is strictly prohibited. Making any of the contents of the Member Directory available to the public is also strictly prohibited.
You can find a CIPHE Registered Professional in your area simply by entering the first part of a local postcode.

(eg: If your postcode is BS15 1DN enter BS15)
The Irish Republic does not use postcodes. Therefore just enter "Eire".

All Members listed in this Directory are bound by the Institute's Code of Professional Standards

For a variety of reasons, not all Registered Plumbers choose to be listed on this site. They may not, for example, offer services to the public, or they might be working for a water supply company.

All details in the Directory are updated on a daily basis.

Gas safety - legal requirements

The Council for Registered Gas Installers (CORGI) is the body given the responsibility by the Health & Safety Executive to maintain a register of competent gas installers.

All businesses whether employers or self-employed persons, who undertake gas work on fittings supplied by natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas, must by law be registered with CORGI. Only those members who have informed the Institute that they are so registered have the Gas Fittings (GF) work classification beneath their names in the Directory.

Prior to engaging an Institute member to carry out gas work and in order to verify his/her eligibility to undertake gas work, you are encouraged to check with CORGI that they are still authorised.

If you would like to know more about the legal requirements in regard to gas, or would like to contact CORGI please phone 0870 401 2300 or visit www.corgi-gas-safety.com.
